Controller Support

Has anyone figured out how to get it to work.

Yeah hopefully someone figures out a solution. Tried dualsense, xbox, and steam controllers with no response in-game

same tried elite 2 which is my go to usually for pc and nothing so i grabbed a dualsense from the other room and it also does nothing

i tried copying a layout for regular portal and it still doesnt work the game is acting like there just isnt one connected

Then I'm afraid controller support, for now, is off the table. I didn't want to spend time messing with setting one up. So I just jumped back to KB/M.

Thats sadly not a viable option for my setup my pc is a living room console basically just have a crappy wireless kbm combo that i use to get around windows

Did you try "enable gamepad" in the options menu? Then binding the buttons as you like?

The in-game menu is bugged, buggy, and some areas, like the in-game controller enable, do not function.

So i looked and your right but for some unknown reason that option is under mouse and it worked

Yeah the enable gamepad setting under mouse worked for my wired dualsense. Derp!

If you enable the gamepadui flag before booting, RTX does not work at all, but controller support is functional, including the Steam Input API-supported profile from the original Portal.

Otherwise, you get the RTX but no controller input or Steam Overlay. Only keyboard and mouse bindings work, thinking it's in Desktop instead of game. Seems like RTX was never developed with game controller in mind, or it's just an oversight on release.

Also, Alt-tab crashes the game.

Strange, when I enabled, it didn't work. At least, not for me.

Controller support is also not working for me even when I check the weirdly hidden "enable gamepad" option.
