Frame Gen with V-Sync/G-Sync = Heavy Input Lag
For some reason if I force V-Sync through the Nvidia Control Panel (like Nvidia suggests when using Reflex + Frame Gen if you want v-sync as I do since I use G-Sync), I get horrid input latency. Does anyone else have the same issue?

I've not tested.(Not played with Frame Gen on) Is there a latency testing tool? Or is this real world experience only. Like you just have to feel for it?

I feel it, it's quite bad.

hmmm So V-sync on. And Frame Generation on. With Reflex on? Testing may be several minutes or more. I don't have my portal gun yet. I want to have it to test it better.

Correct.

Lock your framerate to 58 in your NV control panel (it will get doubled) and you will have 116fps and no noticable input lag

This works, but it should just work out of the box when forcing V-Sync like Nvidia says here:

I know, that was the workaround I was using befor that driver came out. Will probably get patched sonner or later.

Also, note doing this can result in your getting less real frames than you would otherwise, resulting in a worse picture.

Interesting I test the following

DSLL Frame Gen off.
Super Resolution set to Full Resolution which in my case is 1080P.
I got around 55-65 FPS. Game seemed very playable. No hitches, stutters etc.
No input lag.

I changed one setting DSLL Frame Gen from off to on. FPS goes to about 95-100 FPS.
Game is mostly the same play ability. Technically since I have a 240z monitor I'm able to benifit from the smoothness of having over 60 FPS. So yes looking around and moving around feels more smooth visually. But what about the input lag? I think I can feel the difference. But I would describe it as minimal? It was difficult to notice and I'm not sure it would even effect game play?

Am I just not experiencing the problem your having? Or it is only happening on specific hardware etc?

I tried hard to move WSAD all around, firing portals, jumping etc. Sure I notice a difference but it's small and I don't think it would effect my game play. For a speed runner sure? Maybe.

How is everyone turning off frame gen? I don't see it as an option in the remix settings.

You might not be hitting your V-Sync cap even with frame-gen on since you're at 240 Hz.

I've also noticed if I put it on Ultra Performance DLSS with frame gen enabled (don't do this, just trying to maximize the frame rate), I get a ton of stutter if I have V-Sync + G-Sync forced on in NVCP. Really odd.

If you don't see it in the settings, it's not on.
To get it to show, you need to A. make sure you have a 40 series card and B. make sure Hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling is enabled in Windows.

Finally was able to get a FPS counter up and, for some reason, Reflex doesn't work correctly here and isn't capping the FPS to 116 when V-Sync + G-Sync isn't enabled @ 120 Hz
