What DSLL settings should I choose for best quality?
CPU: 12700K
GPU: 4080
RAM: 64GB DDR4 3600Mhz C18
Monitor: 1080P, HDR, 240Hz.

I'm only just learning about DSLL. I put Portal RTX on Ultra. I manually bumped 2nd bounce from 4 up to 8. I turned DSLL settings all on. Except frame generation.

On Auto DSLL Super Resolution I'm getting about 120FPS. Same if I set it to quality? If I turn super resolution completely off I'm getting 62 FPS. lol And the game seems to look a little worse. like edges are not as smooth?

As long as I'm getting over 60 FPS I'm happy? What settings should I tweak or set DSLL on to get the BEST QUALITY possible. And if any other Alt+X special settings I should tweak please let me know. First I want to see this game look it's absolute best. Then I want to tweak it for FPS if it's dipping below 60. But with DSLL Quality I'm getting 120 FPS even without Frame Generation on Ultra settings? Should I basically leave it alone? Or what settings should I choose for DSLL to maximise quality. And like I said any other hidden away settings I should adjust in ALT+X.

If you go into the developer settings you can set DLSS to "Full Resolution" This will arguably give you the best experience as generally DLSS looks better than TAA and "Full Resolution" will use DLSS at your native resolution of 1080p. Alternatively you can try TAA and see if that looks better but its unlikely.

Thanks let me look into this now. So DSLL Full Reslution.
Wait I don't see an option named that?

Never mind it's only available in the advanced ALT+X Settings.

Well FPS drops from 120 to low 60s. lol I don't know if I even notice a difference. However if it's technically suppose to look better? Should I keep it at Full Resolution? I have a 240hz monitor so I know 120 FPS is better for refresh. I may have to play a bit on each and see if the difference in quality is worth halving FPS. lol

It makes me physically mad that someone who owns a 4080 doesn't know what DLSS is. 🙃
