all downloaded and installed, click play, nothing happens, do i need normal portal installed?

Updated to latest drivers with support for this. Already restarted Steam after installing game.
Title just sits at a black screen with hourglass when launching.

Had a HL2.exe is not responding error with it.

Same problem here, the game doesn't launch. It doesn't even go to a black screen. I own the original Portal.

Yes, own the original, just get a quick black screen and hl2.exe auto-closes with no log

I do, have installed it as well and it made no difference. I'm on Windows 11 if that helps.

Windows 10, can provide full build number if you need

Reinstalled/updated nvidia drivers, now launches.

nvidia driver 527.56 just dropped today 12/8

but it runs 25 fps on my 3090.... what do?

Portal RTX is installed to a separate SSD than OG Portal and Halflife2/source engine.

Could that have anything to do with it? I can move my portal/HL2 installs to the same drive as Portal RTX and test and report back if it'd help.

Same here. Updated drivers, just shows unresponsive window.
