Prepare for people to give negative review!
Get ready as people with RTX 2060, RTX 2070, RTX 3050, RTX 3060 won’t be able to run the game so they’ll leave a negative review!

The specs are clearly written, you can’t run it.

Those cards can run it. It will be playable with dlss performance and even the higher end 30 series cards are getting low performance in this Rtx version.

People won't play this for the gameplay, they'll play it for visuals my dude, and most of them will crack it up because that's the whole purpose of this game!

AMD guys will get 4fps lol
You need a 4090 RTX for portal btw

4080 will do ok at 1440p but anything less like a 3xxx card and below will suck. And don't even consider if you have an AMD card lol. Basically only for 4080 and 4090 owners.

People give games negative reviews for having a single issue nowadays. So yes I fully expect this great remaster to be review bombed upon launch, just like every other recently released game.

Ye every game these days gets some kind of review abuse...

But i think that this one has the potential for lots of sour users

Quake 2 rtx didn't get bombed even though it was hard to run on launch.

Yes but that's because this whole "I'll leave a negative review for any con!" thing really only started to ramp up heavily fairly recently. Plus the economy is pretty ♥♥♥♥ rn and a lot of consumers might be jaded that they can't run something with specs this high, that, or they don't understand the technology behind it which makes it require specs like these.

I don't think you're making much sense, review bombs have been around for years, I think you're probably over generalising based on a couple of awful recent releases.

Obviously review bombs have existed forever, but they've become increasingly common over small issues relatively recently. This is mostly due to the fact that many consumers are becoming increasingly entitled and impatient. A few big releases that have had genuine issues have built frustration up in the community, and it also has shown that consumers have tons of power by hitting the downvote button on anything they don't like for any reason, which results in good games getting completely destroyed due to the smallest issues imaginable that are fixed within a matter of days or weeks because of this building frustration. I would legitimately not be surprised if this game has a mixed or even a mostly negative review score a few hours after launching because of a few small instances of crashing or a broken texture on a specific object. Combine minor bugs like those with the steep system requirements, and you bet your ass that people get up in arms over this completely free and beautiful re-envisioning of this classic title.

pretty sad to give a bad review for a free game because your PC can't run it on the best settings because it literally says under the spec sheet that you don't have what's needed
