Stormgate
UI/UX: Camera Hotkey/Focus Jump presets per map
Feature Request:

As a player, I wish I didn't have to set base camera hotkeys and my base control groups at the start of every game.

Long time SC2 player here.
I've always wished we could pre set base-camera-location hotkeys or Focus Jump points as you call them here, per each map.
Or if we could have some option to automate their creation in some way?
Like having your first Town Center building always be the 1st Focus Jump hotkey, the 2nd Town Center you make would automatically assign itself as your 2nd Focus Jump, etc.

In a similar vein, if we could have the option to set a control group to always be the one our Town Center structure is initially hotkeyed to by default?
Better yet, the option to assign specific structures and units to specific hotkeys, with a unique hotkey profile for each race, would go a long way.

Just thinking about the thousands upon thousands of matches of SC2 I've played, and how in each one I will always always always have my Hatcheries on 3, and my Queens on 4.
For Terran, Command Center on 3, Barracks on 4, Factory on 5, Starport on 6, etc.
It would also be nice to have a toggleable option to choose whether or not ALL instances of that structure I create, to be automatically added to the control group.
I imagine most people would want to turn that feature on, but I know some people never learned to use base-cameras, or grew up on games without them, and use their hotkeys for 1 base-structure each, and just double tap them to effectively use them as base camera hotkeys, or to manage queen-injects as Zerg, etc.

Being able to set my main and natural base-cameras, or just my initial worker-producing structure to the same control group I'm always going to put it in, would be extremely convenient.
Now I'm just wondering if you were to add up the average number of keystrokes it takes of a player to set those initial hotkeys, and then multiply that by ALL of their games, and do that for EVERY player, for the entire lifetime of a game like SC2, you could then use an average measurement of force for 1 keystroke, which sure is a tiny amount, but if you multiplied it by allllll of those instances, you'd probably have enough force to knock over a skyscraper.
Maybe even enough to lift your mom.
boom. gottem.

Anyways, this feature would be cool, hope you guys consider it, wishing you all the success in the world.
Cheers!
