"debugger has been found running in your system"

I keep getting a message that says "A debugger has been found running in your system. Please, unload it from memory and restart your program."

I don't have any debugger running. How do I figure out what this is upset about so I can play the game I paid for?

I do not have any antivirus programs running other than stock Windows 11

Hmm. This isn't something I've seen before, but it does seem to happen in various games and applications. I found a Reddit thread of people seeing similar issues that may have a solution for you: https://www.reddit.com/r/hoggit/comments/lm5pyn/i_keep_getting_this_error_message_when_booting_up/

I had found that thread already actually -- I do not have the debug boot option enabled. I haven't had this happen in any other game.

By process of elimination of closing tasks, this may be the culprit? https://www.sonarworks.com/soundid-reference

Except I can't reasonably turn it off because I need it for my audio.

idk why you would need that looks to me like you would only "need" it if you mixing stuff for work or so but not to have your audio be functioning.
iam maybe wrong but i never heard of that program in over 20 years plus.

Not helpful! You don't need to know why I need it. Just that this software shouldn't have a bad interaction with Stormgate.
