Easy Anti-Cheat error causing game not to launch
Downloaded & installed from steam today, but cannot get the game to launch; I only get this error: "The Easy Anti-Cheat launcher encountered an internal error."

Task manager shows that the EAC bootstrapper status is 'not responding' and has eaten up 97% of my system memory (i.,e using ~28 gig). Memory leak in EAC maybe??

I tried running the game in DX11, DX12 and rollback mode, all with the same result. Also did a file integrity check that caused an 'unable to write to disk' error, but un/re installing seemed to fix that. don't think it's an issue with my SSD because several other games installed on the same drive updated with no issue.

System spec
OS Microsoft Windows 10 Home
ASRock
Z790 PG Lightning

Processor 13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-13400, 2500 Mhz, 10 Core(s), 16 Logical Processor(s)
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER (Drivers are current version: 560.70)
Installed Physical Memory (RAM) 32.0 GB
M.2 SSD

What AV are you using? That's probably the problem.

Good call, it was my Avast anti virus. Disabling it allowed the game to launch.

After closing and relaunching the game I ran into the same problem again. Had to verify files and it re-downloaded something again. kind of seems like a file is getting corrupted after playing and quitting??

This has been an ongoing issue for me too. Slight differences in the error. It seems that only when I am on my home network and after selecting "login with Steam". The game will load several things but every time it reaches the portion for "Preparing Anti-Cheat" it will jump back to the normal sign in page with an error stating "you have been disconnected".

I have disabled firewalls- reset the router/modem- and even contacted the network provider.
So far, the only work around I have found is using another network. Which is okay because I've been able to play a handful of times while I had some downtime at work. But not being able to play from home is quite frustrating. I think this may be related because every time it happens the game is preparing Anti-Cheat.
