The campaign sucks and is lacking. The game is overall not very good and needs a lot of work. There are less than 100 players logging in daily.
Release the map editor so that the community can keep the game alive for you. Until you get content ready to release, the community can make content for people to engage with. We were playing custom maps in SC2 before it released!
The editor is in their plans, but my most optimistic guess would be like .. a year and a half more till it's ready.
No point in wishing it till they say it's done with, because it's likely the same underdeveloped quality as the rest of the game. And we all know what happens when editor is not ready for use - people where hyped for sc2 editor and then it never lived up to wc3 legacy because mapmakers were not willing to deal with both the editor and the underdeveloped lobby system. They're shooting themselves in the foot by not releasing it early, and they would be shooting themselves in the foot by releasing it before it has the necessary work invested into it to thrive.
But I'm sure they're aware of all of this, so I'm just looking to see how it plays out for them while I do sc2 mapmaking instead :3
