Unplayable on low end PC
I can not play it on low end PC. It is very slow. I can play StarCraft 2 without problem.

SC2 was made for older PCs, and after some upgrades, as I recall, they made it even easier on older PCs. This is still in Early Access, and is missing quite a few technical issues, so it'd be best to either upgrade your PC, or wait til they've optimized the game better.

SC2 was made in 2010 which is 14 years ago. So any pc with a graphics card built after 2010 should be able to play it.

I also have the same problem. Low end machine, game crushes when I try to start a mission.

It's not about release year. It's about having less good graphics than SC2 but still requiring a stronger machine. In fact many games that were released this year run perfectly on my machine.

same, it is the same with mine, like why would it run like apex midfight when the game looks 10x worse than starcraft 2.
Hell, I can even run overwatch 2 easily, not on the lowest graphics IIRC, but why not for this game? i had to go low spec mode on the launch option and EVEN then it still runs at 45fps. IDC if they do optimization much later, it's just insane how devs these days somehow make everything overly hard on the device for literally the worst looking graphics ever.

Blizz can do optimisation well, still one of the few things they can still do well. And there are 14 years between SC2 and SG, so it is expected it requires a better PC. Technology moves fast indeed. :)

This would be more useful if you guys gave some idea of what you consider to be "low end". Is low end a Core 2 Duo or an i3 12100? Because they're both 'low end'.

SC2 released in 2010.
I'm not sure if you're aware, but the year i'm currently posting this comment, is 2024. Inching up to 2025.
Your computer will not last forever, and you shouldn't expect it to.

How do you mean if starcraft 2 looks better than this game?

that's the art direction, not the tech

Can it run on GTX 950m ?
BenRedTV Aug 19, 2024 @ 6:49am
To all the people mentioning SC2 is from 2010. Read again: I have played about 10(!) different games from the last 2 years on this machine with no problem albeit some of them on lower settings. SC2 release year has nothing to do with this. The performance of this game is not normal or even average. It's extremely poor.

Instead of burning down the game into dust, why not mention what hardware you got ?

Did you even checked the minimum and maximum system requirements or not ?

Did you installed Latest Display Drivers ?

Is your windows updated ?

Yes all these Key Factors matters a lot. Graphics/Art is not why the game runs poorly on your System. If you got a display driver running that Does NOT support Stormgate, you will have performance issues. So give us more information, so people might actually be able to help you be able to play the game ?

stacraft 2 engine runs on 1 single core of your CPU. it is a CPU dependant game. it's not the same for stormgate, graphics card means a lot. but, imo save your time and money and find another game, or just keep playing sc2

So true, even if you would get the Top of the Line CPU to play SC 2 with, you can still get Lags cause of that single core usage !

Can you share your specs? idk how old your PC is but my 6 year old Omen laptop with a GTX 1060 with i7 8th gen can run this game smoothly. Note that those are mobile specs since it's for a laptop so their hardware performance is even lower.
