Is SC3 coming out in the next 5 years?

Then I see no reason to be pointing and laughing at FG for trying to replace a dead IP.

Nope, no one will play a game that is way worse than what is already out there.

Besides, even if there was no one making fun of it, it wouldn't get any more traction. Every time there is something new and see people hyping it up, I fire up some streams to watch and end up yawning constantly, the game is boring in some very fundamental ways.

This isn't even news, it has been said by multiple people over and over.

And hell I don't even know what it is, in theory I should at least be somewhat interested with whats going on there, but watching ends up even more tedious than watching games of genres I don't even like. All I can say is there is indeed something fundamentally wrong with this game.

Perhaps there is a clue in the "in theory" phrase. Too much theory, "if this then that" kind of thing, with very little being actually interesting in practice.

A lot of this theory seems to be based on assumptions that are completely flawed and delusional.

Regardless, I also don’t intend to play the same game for 30-60 years like some folk.

I mean its simple, you watch a game to see if it piques your interest, if watching puts you to sleep and watching other games don't, you won't even attempt to play that game.

I don't intend to play the same game forever either, by that logic you should look for even more novel alternatives, not bootleg versions of your favorite game just because of nostalgia, much more interesting experiences are to be found in other places.

Everyone can see the game for what it is and also the numbers. The game is just bad and no attempt at fooling people into not disliking it is gonna change that fact, nor bring in an actual player base. Unless this is just another sneaky attempt at making the game look better for investors, by shifting the blame to the Bad Players™(which wouldn't be the first, nor, I bet, the last time), in which case I guess Tim's LinkedIn adventures weren't that effective?

Which, incidentally, reminds me, everyone can see FG for the kind of dev it really is, as well.

Not really. I think I’ve only enjoyed one RTS youtube video and that was because it was no-lifes VS never-played and they were maximizing clicks and all.

Edit: Tim the tool is upset he clowned himself. A game is a game, like a movie is a movie. Some good ones and some bad ones. This isn’t one of those that is worth their asking price, BUT i disagree on thinking it’s a worthless game.
I mean hell, XCOM started to snooze me to death with how repetitive it felt. Playing SC2 in 2025 is far more worthless imo.
Being unoriginal doesn’t exactly warrant hate either. Look at DOTA for that.

Well when I said you I was talking about you in a general sense of course, most people watch videos of something before they try/buy it, it is a normal thing to do, not just with games. In the theoretical world where people don't do that perhaps someone could buy that argument.

Yeah i really don’t need a reviewer to collect my thoughts for me.
Edit: I might watch a before you buy or first dive in just to view it, but I don’t find that any different than promotional material from the publisher tbh. I find out what the game has, how it plays, and decide for myself based on what personally appeals to me or not.
I wanted an RTS similar to WC3 and SC but not from Acti-Blizz since they’re too lazy to touch the IPs. Hate big studios. Even Bethesda has grown into a dislike for me, regardless of my likeness for the Fallout IP.

Strawman, no one said anything about reviewers(of which there was only one for SG btw, and it was a sham), I said specifically streams, which is regular people playing the game.

The game is still fundamentally uninteresting, cajoling people into trying it(if they still fall for it) will only make people trust you all less.

Again, I don’t go jumping into streams.
I only watch streamers based on the streamer and their content. For example: Teosgame is probably my favorite Streamer/YTer. Just a genuine guy with a hilarious friend group.

I don’t expect to be like everyone else, hence why I have a different experience. I prefer being a unique modifier, as menial as it is.

Seems like you blame the soap when in reality you don’t know how to scrub.

I love that attitude. I have been watching with glee how the number of FG's rabid defenders have dwindled over time. Now it's down to 20 or so unique flowers with a bunch of bots still thinking they can turn this hubris disaster around. It gets easier over time to point at the numbers and laugh. 🤣
