But hey maybe Tim Morten will do another 300 hours of interviews with youtubers followed by nobody and they'll relaunch in the far future, who knows. Honestly a finished game that doesn't suck would help, I know that "have a good product and people will come" is not exactly what they teach in marketing school but... yeah.
I had no clue the level of censorship reached the levels described... but it kinda makes sense seeing how many people still got duped.🤠
Also these players will drop out at some point.
In other words - we are going into to the place, where there is a game that requires players to play but they aren't hanging around anymore.
At some magic number it becomes impossible to find a match with a balanced opponent in a reasonable time, when they hit that everyone just quits and the player numbers drop off a cliff to basically no one.
Also you can't run a free to play game that sells content with 64 players hahaha so it's just entertaining to watch it die
Player count has dropped down so low that I can probably host the entire game server on my PC XD
Actually it sorta does get taught. “product” is one of the 4 Ps of Marketing.
Also we're all commenting on events that we all predicted. notions that we believe in were vindicated. to try to suppress that while the final nail is hammered in is pointless and rude.
Never thought I would say this but this game, that is supposed to be a spiritual successor to starcraft 2, has less players than dawn of war 3.
for. free.
They continued to try and use free labor which generated cash for them and they tried to play it off saying it was only enough money for so and so many full time employees to live off of. Then it comes to light they were making more then claimed and liquid naz sold off the company.
Hopefully teamliquid goes the way of the dodo bird like stormgate will.
I used to check TL pretty regularly back then, so was obviously curious what they had to say about SG, that thread and some reddit were my source of news for SG. I guess tendrils of corruption have spread everywhere indeed... I think I am starting to understand the phrase "dirty e-sports money" lol. Think I will stick to single player or smaller mp games from now on. The good old games and whatever new games that carry the spirit of these games. To loosely borrow the terms from Starcraft lore... new games take the form of the old games... but where is the essence?
Because for the past 3 years they have been shouted down and accused of spreading "hate" any time they try to give feedback on the game. They've been tread on, beaten and abused. Let them have their, we told you so, moment. They earned it.
