How long until player count is 0?
Quite clearly there are about 400-600 people that actually like this game, or at least pretend to like it.

How long until these people finally give up on this abomination?

The player count PEAKED at 4500 for the open beta. Didn't take a prophet to tell you this was gonna go down the drain and fast.

Frost Giant scammed all of the people that pledged money to this.

I give it 3-6 months until Frost Giant is shutting down.

Depends on how long humans will live on earth that can play this game.

It's online only. If they don't release the dedicated server code, an offline mode, or fans make a server emulator then there would be no way for anyone to actually play the game when the servers go down.

Offline mode is planned.

I said "if" for a reason. Planned does not mean guaranteed. It's only marked as "later in EA" on their known issues and solutions page, and isn't in their current roadmap of near term updates either.

TWW3 gladly actually got back and shows doomsayers how it's done and doing great now, when I was honestly expecting CA to not survive this year now I'm confident in their success. Even Pharaoh got reworked and it's great now.

CA is really the MVP comebacker of this year.

Most of us just think its really sad, that games in 1998 were absolutely fantastic and well made. This is the future, and it sucks ass.

Games in 1998 where fantastic because your bar was waaaay lower and you also had far fewer choices. Now a day most gamers are engorged on over saturation and have become pathetically over entitled.

I think that is more of a case of survivorship bias.
There were a LOT of terrible games in the 90's and earlier but due to the barriers to entry to getting to the end consumer many of them never were widely known.
