Legacy of the Void came out in 2015, and the total inflation from 2015 to now is roughly 30-35%. So based on this, a reasonable price for a hero in Stormgate would be just over $6.50.
Dont understand why and who made this decision. It's like dropping a nuke on the community goodwill they built up until now for very little profit.
Why was Warz available on relase? Because he was intended to be released way down the line but got done sooner. The optics look terrible, but there was no bad intentions there.
You also need to paid 60$ for 1/3 of the Story for SC and then need to pay again for the commander.
Sure, but why do it in the first place?
A relationship where one party is only willing to act in a mutually beneficial way after they are held to account and at risk of serious PR damage, is not a healthy one.
It smacks of extreme self-interest and greed.
I get that this is a new game and that it's under active development, but the differences between them around monetisation are pretty striking given how similar everything else is.
FG it's not good practice to nuke your own backers!
Can't say why, but right now they have no big publisher backing them, a lot of what they can do is very limited.
Hmm no? Video games are not effected by inflation like other things in fact prices have gone down for video games over time. The fair price is $5 or less.
Also, they might cost more than in SC2 but in SC2 you had to pay more for other stuff, esp. if you got it before it went F2P.
I highly encourage you to read some basic economic books. Inflation occurs when the money supply expands (through printing) faster than the growth of the market. Governments do this in order to pay for programs without raising taxes (bypassing consent as well), but it decreases the value of the dollar in the process. To simplify: Too many dollars chasing too few goods. Everything operates on a scarcity principle, and the more you have of something the more it tends to decline in its worth.
Some AAA games have been going up in price. But the reason why there's been overall price stagnation or straight up free-to-play is because of microtransactions. Also, there's never been more competition which means the price elasticity will be pretty rigid. Inflation affects literally everything, because both goods and services are purchased with money.
This is pretty nonsensical. The correct price is whatever a buyer and seller agree upon. "Fair" is a loaded term here, because it follows no actual methodology. After all, what made Starcraft 2's co-op commanders a "fair" price in the first place? Just search "Starcraft 2 co-op commanders too expensive" and you'll get plenty of results of people strongly disagreeing with you. Hence, the only correct price is again what a buyer and seller come to terms on.
That's a lot of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ for not understanding that inflation hasn't effected video games like food and other supplies guy. In fact it's the opposite in the video game industry. Only had to read the first sentence to know you have no clue what you're talking about. Imagine having so much brain rot to think that digital ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ goods are scarce lol !
