It's near impossible for RTS to balance between 1v1, 2v2, 3v3, 4v4, etc. You need to pick and choose what you want to balance around. In this game's case, they went with 1v1 by design.
It's the same in SC2. In team games, the team that goes all Zerg has a much higher chance of winning the game, simply because the amount they can throw at you early game is balanced around 1v1.
i'm not sur they want a good game since they said this early access was the release of this game lol. maybe just money to buy a new cool car and leave on other game studio

People want buff blu unit and nerf red unit that all.
You can look in tournament, even pro player prove the game is balance.
You can look at the wr of each faction in any mode, that prove the game is balance

its a big topic already also in the official discord and many many people already wanna see it happen.
its hard man the latest COH had such a rough start it was basicly a mess at release and months later still and keeping up when they actualy fixed their crap is insane not even singleplayer worked back than and if i remember correctly this wasn´t an EA title.
and game balanced for 1v1 and 3v3 should be fine.
