Small pack gives you 1 hero + the first mission pack (3 missions)
Middle prize pack gives you 3 heroes + first mission pack
big pack gives you 3 heroes + the first 3 mission packs (mission pack 2 & 3 coming later)
They also have varying variations of fluff like army colours and pets? not sure how pets work
edited for pack clarity
The Firestorm fog of war shader, the gold Vanguard army accent, and the chicken supporter pet will not be sold in the in-game shop, so those can only be picked up in an Early Access bundle.
Also, all other Commanders should all still be playable for free as well, but without the ability to level them up, so just enough to test them out, not enough to fully utilize them, similar to SC2's system where we could level up everyone to lvl 5 for free.
By the way, I've never seen this asked anywhere, but I assume there's no in-game currency that can be earned to buy the heroes or chapters. The business model seems effectively identical to SC2, where you could play some modes for free but had to buy content for the other modes.
I do have to say - and I am a big supporter of the game - that the price proposition of this is really... not great.
Coop heroes aren't relevant to all of the players, and the price of a coop hero is probably going to be around 5$ in the final release, likely less in a hero bundles that no dobut will be added later.
Campaign being split into the chapter of 3 is VERY worrying. This is what Nova Covert Ops did, and as much as I enjoyed the individual missions, Nova Covert Ops was Starcraft 2's biggest flop as a whole.
The main problem of Nova's campaign is that the whole campaign is 9 missions. Nobdy is re-playing that campaign. Nobody is modding this campaign. It's too short to get invested in, and it being distributed in chapters of 3 made it less appealing to play through live as it was coming out (although I personally did it)
The campaign most people ARE modding and re-playing is WoL and frankly speaking even WoL has the issue of being too short, when you remove the no build missions and the protoss missions from it - you barely have time to start the run and you are already at the final mission.
Hots is not as popular due to how dominant Kerrigan herself is and lack of proper final mission, while LotV honestly is mostly tanked by his really uninspired story and by proxy somewhat boring mission design. - Also both Hots and Lotv suffer from not having the amount of player agency in building your army composition that WoL has - hencv why Wol is the most re-played campaign
So, for the sake of the success of Stormgate, because it is very important to me that StormGate DOES succed, I implore you to lower the price of these packs, and I BEG you to if you have to do the campaign in chapters, make sure that each chapter is at least 9 missions. The 25ish missions that WoL has is the bare minium amount of missions the campaign needs for players to be able to get invested in it and be willing to re-play it for fun, any less than that will make the game less replayable
