You're stirring my nostalgia senses of a time before mailboxs and having to craft a pomel, hilt and blade just to make one sword. Well I can't say I miss THAT part (was a serious PITA) but I do miss the people I played with. I keep trying to get back in but it just doesn't feel the same. I suppose I've just been going about it wrong. Maybe this week I'll reinstall the game and give it yet another try. So many low/mid level characters who never got finished.
edit: This thread got me wondering how the RP scene is or IF there even is one still. I was never very good but it was kinda fun to try.
Compared to Lotro? If so I dont know too many mmos out there that can compete with the RP in that game. but from what I can gather the RP on EQ2 is nice. I cant do it myself either but I do love to sit back and watch.
As for Nostalgia....I miss Shard runs and getting your healer or tank keyed for the dungeon you want to run. Group XP debt and watching idiots die at the forge for trying to cut corners in crafting.
Hit me up on Permafrost if you looking for a new server. Quintoe and Apononar are my 2 chars
Yah for some odd reason I cannot play it for more than 2-3 weeks at a time. I can say though that Moria is one of the most convincing mines in a game ever....
