As for your 2nd class, you'll be able to do just fine with any scout in that regard sneak letting you go where you please to a degree, and yes with a merc they'll be just fine.
You playing on EU? I've recently picked the game back up too after being away for years, nostalgia eh? gets ya.
I'll give an SK a try. I remember trying one years ago and all the "hissing" sound effects annoyed me lol.
Oh also, no I'm not on EU. Even if I was, I play such odd hours due to work and school schedule. I miss playing with people, but RL makes it hard.
Conjy also vey good at this. Excellent choice. The skillceiling is a notch higher, but its still a very forgiving class to play.
Bards sux to level. Not very good soloers. Low to medium dps, and low to medium survivability. Absolutly possible to quest and solo-lvl, but theyre nowere near as good as most other classes. Highly sought after for grps and raids for their many buffs/utility.
Thanks for this info. I have my Conj almost to 80 now. While I really like her, I've definitely contemplated betraying to Necro. Its just little things, but I'm a bit on the fence. I also ended up rolling a monk to level alongside my Conj and then a Wizard for fun. I didn't realize how much satisfaction I would get from playing a Wizard and just blowing stuff up. Its slower than my Monk and Conj overall, but very fun.
Wizards! My personal favorite. Have mained one for several years. They do a lot of dmg, but have low survivability wich makes them overall average soloers imho. Theyre really good for anything that are designed for solo, but lack the ability to solo select heroics, a thing a geared necro or monk can do in a fair amount of encounters. You basically steamroll until you hit a wall you just cant climb. A pet class or selfhealing tank can do things a glasscannon never will be able to do.
i think SK is the best to tank for newbies, they have lots of heal so no need to group... but necro ans beastlord (not tank) are quite the easy class too
my main is a dirge and i think if you have a mercenary you can go everywhere with it, as it have some stealth but they are more of support character, so it's easier to play with other people
sorry if my english is bad
Far as Scouts, I won't comment. I would be biased as a Ranger, who has mastered the mechanics.
The most important thing I could ever pass along is to learn your class, then learn what classes you should be hanging around in groups with (whether in raid or group). Class inter dependencies on other classes, are why a lot of people never quite learned the game.
But I also do not play now, due to a fraudulent banning.
So GL with it, 16yo game on its last legs.
