new to EQ2, with a question about tradeskills
hello my fellow Norrathian Denizens, I have decided to rejoin the fight in Norrath, not having been in Norrath since the 3rd expansion of the original EQ.

I am a F2P with no expansions yet, not sure if that makes any difference for tradeskills or not, but here's my question.

in today's day and time in EQ2 for a F2P anyways, what is the most lucrative tradeskill?

Alchemy? Maybe? However, really not all that worth it considering most people have access within their guild to a trade skiller at max level that will do it for free or cheap. You are much better picking a class that can solo zones for masters & gear. SK or Necro are good options.

aren't those both "evil" classes?

They are!

But in EQ2 every class has a counterpart with minor differences.

The good versions of those would be the Magician and Paladin.
The roles are the same with minor shifts in the mechanics

what is it about the SK that every forum i look at about best solo class everyone almost always says SK, but never mentio their counterpart?

Because the SK can be speced more easily into a DPS. That makes them a plate wearing DPS. A high damage high defence. The paladin is more geared towards keeping a party safe. That would be the small mechanics difference. Keep in mind that this doesnt keep the paladin from being able to solo.

thnx, but back to original question... what tradeskill is most lucrative on AH?

Alchemy or Provisioner would be my suggestions. But, like it I said. I don't believe it is really that lucrative to tradeskill these days. But, go for it if you want!

You can make a ton of money with all of them, but most of them only at max level.
Adorning is a great skill to pick up, as you can later on buy broken gems, turn them into incredible ones, and flip them for a ton of platinum.

If you're looking for a Good-side option to soloing, I would recommend Conjuror or my main the Berserker.
People often forget how good zerkers are in solo because the SK is so brilliant at self-healing, but zerkers will pretty quickly get skills that automatically heal them when hit by enemies. This makes them practically invincible unless you've ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up. They also fare especially well with a lot of enemies around them, making them really easy to level.
