I found Berserker was great for solo.
Leveled a few of each. Both lovely classes but I found SK needs a little more thinking.
i would love to know what you mean by thinking, I've found you just spam all your spells none of this game feels like yous hould think before using spells.
Also move spamming isnt the best idea in level approriate raids, alot of abilities work better as combos than just spamming them off cooldown, and never forget those heroic opportunities.
but this is just details tbh, and not even 100 % accurate. both classes is more than capable of both soloing and grping pretty much anything. SKs will come to short when it comes to agrotoggeling, snaps etc simply cus the AoEs are more dps oriented than agro/hate transferring, and pally will likewise be left in the dust when it comes to chainpulling as the SK just pile em up and burn em down..
