Could you assign AI groups (like EF2000,TAW,Falcon 4, Mig Alley on the campaign map) to take our SAM sites ahead of you , different departure times, and you then fly in (along with my wingman)to take out a supply depot for eg? Make the world feel alive!
There will certainly be elements of those campaigns in this one. Every single vehicle will be tracked individually and will stay destroyed when destroyed. When the campaign (or dynamic mission) is generated there will be a set number of MBTs, IFVs, APCs etc per side. When they are destroyed they are gone, at least until re-enforcements arrive but these will take time to get to the front lines.
Units will move between sectors so it is quite possible to intercept both supplies and re-enforcements as they transit between areas - knowing when/where these convoys are will be dependant on intel levels although you could just stumble upon one mid-mission.
Ground units will fight among themselves in a semi-realistic way in that rounds fired (whether they are tank rounds or ATGMs) will be visible and will actually have to hit the vehicle they are being fired at. However, some physics calcualtions won't be applied e.g. gravity to keep things simple.
I don’t know how your going to pull it off, but I’m in for the haul anyway.
Good on you Jimmy.
Your belief is infectious
Well, it's not going to happen over night - it'll be little steps each building on the previous.
But we'll get there :D
Quite shocking really how quick life goes in, and I’ve still got hundreds of games to play with my newest built rig
Strike Fighters was made by the same guys that made EAW. It was an easy pickup and play with brill visuals
It’s getting it that’s the prob. Used to be on steam.

It’s on CDKeys for 99p !!!
I have the original PAW:1942
What I most loved about that was the ricochets when you fired at planes the ground, ships. Basically, they took original footage and copied the exact gun-cam.
I loved how there were officers walking around the deck of the ships.
The battle ship engagements were very well done. You could feel the heavy guns firing salvo's and you even had to lead/predict where the enemy ships would be so your shells landed there. I put in a good number of hours in both of them, despite them being 'light'.
Very well done. There was even highlighted area on the ships as you bombed/torpedoed them, so you could try and hit them to cause max damage; Ammo/fuel/engine etc.
You could even put up flak barrages as enemy fighter/bombers came in then switch to different armament around the ship as targets moved; inc launching your own torps (subs in the game as well, though i found them bloody hard to stay alive in them for any length of time!) lol
Battleships Midway is still there. Plus a playable demo

No need to buy AAA games when there are really good indie war games/sims around.
Thank you Jimmy for what you are doing!
