Auto-fire not working.
Hello gentlemen. And ladies. I set a button to auto-fire in the options, but still have to mash to get a proper rate of fire. Is this bugged, or am I misunderstanding what auto-fire means? I have a turbo button on my arcade joystick, but I was hoping to be able to play this with my gamepad without having to mash buttons. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Thanks for the reply. I tried this out, but it appears both A and X are normal fire buttons. Normal shots don't work without tapping the button, and homing shots are slow unless tapping quickly. Laser works as expected.

I tried the Mega Drive version, and there's auto-fire there. Any other suggestions?

Have you enabled the auto fire rate in the assist menu? Press the menu button or 'ESC' to enter the menu, go to "ASSIST" and select the auto fire rate. By default, it is off to match the arcade
