games like MTG tactics?

this game is dead, and it looks like the forums are too, but I might as well try. I've been looking a trying to find a free to play game like MTG tactics with cards, but also tactical movement on a battlefield, and I can't find any (and I don't count scrolls by mojang, b/c that is still on each side seperated) If anyone has found a game to replace MTG Tactics (though also hopefully with f2p actually being viable) I would be very greatful

Not sure how much it is like MTG Tactics, but Ancestory is an early-access TCG + tactical turn-based combat game. Looks interesting. Been thinking about buying it myself.

card hunter are very great. i wonder if the new soe called daybreak are going to bring back the game? i hope it was really fun and whit few fix to pricing and free to play gold income im sure it still can work.

It's a shame. this was a great game that I got many hours of fun out of, but it seemed to die years ago.

Meh. Over a year late or not, I'll still respond anyway. But yes, very much so. They shut down the game in 2014.

Shadow Era. It isn't on Steam though. It's a blockchain trading card game.

Shadow Era is also cross platform and it's also free and I'm willing to bet ESL is very greedy in terms of its monetization unlike Shadow Era.

I realize this is late as hell but just came here to say that Shadow Era is nothing like MTG: Tactics. You’re thinking of Arena. Tactics was more so an open battlefield that required you to use 3D pieces on the board and maneuver around to kill your opponent. The 3D pieces were acquired from your card collection. It was. In part, a collectible game where you bought packs of cards and part Xcom.
