I understand what you're saying. However, I've yet to see someone win a drag race without modifying their vehicle(s). The nitro boost and enhanced acceleration will provide you with a significant speed boost that the computer opponent struggles to beat. You could always visit the auto body shop to enhance the brakes in your vehicle(s) for better performance while driving on the roads to and from wherever you're going and simply forgo drag racing if you choose.
At the very least, you need a few of the performance parts, excluding nitrous.
Actually now that I think about it, that might be where I’m going wrong. I went into this thinking “real racing” not drag racing. Essentially you can pump a bunch of ♥♥♥♥ into your car and as long as you push a button on time you can keep up or beat your opponent. But that’s pretty much the car racing for you. Not really skill oriented. It’s not actual racing. Thanks for the input guys. Got it now.
