Update

So we waited 3 months. 3 MONTHS and all that is added is 1 new job and a clinic. taxi service is honestly pointless as i get the most enjoyment just driving around the map. wheres all the new shops as promised or the features people have been requesting. Honestly this update was such a let down as it took 3 months to add maybe 10 more hours of game play. i don't know man low key wish i was able to refund the game cause ion see this game going much further especially if we only get updates like this,,,

Just back seat it for a few months until more is added. It's exactly what I've done. Once more features are added I'll jump back into it. It's a massive work in progress and would rather time spent on quality than rubbish being thrown out for the sake of it.

10 hours? I only spent about 10 - 15 mins with the update. The salon only had I think 4 or so hair styles for female player. I changed my hair, fixed a few computers, and that was about it. I swung by the medical clinic to see if there was anything new, and it's pretty much like the original one so nothing really new there. I swung by The Vault to see if anything was added with Quinn, and nothing. Then I went home, played with Sandy and went to sleep. That's about the extent of it. Yeah, I feel ya. This update was underwhelming for the 3 month wait.

The devs really need to release a road map for this game. I think people who have already invested in the game and any potential new players should know what we should expect. If we know we're only getting little bits of new content 3 to 4 times a year, we can manage our expectations. Maybe there is content coming worth getting excited about, but the devs haven't given us anything to look forward to.

Fair enough. You're right there is a roadmap. According to the roadmap, we should have gotten pets, new residences/condos to purchase, more furniture, and more clothing to choose from. We got none of that. The only thing from the Q1 2025 roadmap we got with this update was the hair salon. I'm sorry for coming across so negatively, but let's face it...we got screwed with this update and I think it is completely justified to feel upset and frustrated with the development of the game. As early access players, we give developers capital up front to provide resources for their game. This company is working on another game, a flight attendant simulator, while this game that we paid for is getting less content than was promised. I think Steam needs to rework their consumer protections when it comes early access games. There's really nothing stopping DI from pulling the plug on Denizen, and we get no protections from that.
