Video game retail prices
Just got my video game retail store. Got the cheap building in Cutler and i have stocked it full of the various games, Game says $30 msrp but i bumped it to $40 to get a better return. What are prices yall are doing? I'm thinking of bumping the prices more to maybe $50 because i am getting good reviews about good prices, trying to find a sweet spot and max out profit.

I tried mucking around with the prices and found first week with advertising you could get away with slightly higher prices but the longer you stayed then the prices needed to drop.

i have also looked at the more bigger shops and found you can charge more there is you buy the better products. but again longer your there drop the prices.

So at this stage i keep all my prices stock but just keep saving up money to be able to buy more stock.

I have just recent brought the van as you can hold more stock.
when i can fill that then i will be able to make sum decent money.

advertising does help with higher prices but more on day one than on day three.

i am now just saving up so i can rent out the best shop and sell as much as i can afford on day one now.

still early days so there will be many ajustments to fix money and income.

i find casino is a great place to waste time while shop is open.
a couple of jack pots can help you get sum extra money in fast.

i find $35 is ok people aren't complaining about price, just low inventory, i'm just having a hard time keeping stock in. but, i'm still in the first week so i couldn't afford all of the stock at once and I still only have the starting truck with 4 spaces. so i can't buy all 5 items yet

Once you start stocking your store with Electronics, this is what I've found works best for me:
Cutler store -
Purchase 4 crates of each stock every day ($12k)
Selling price of every product $110 with each item on a 8% discount
Generates around $16-$20k income in a day with ads running (so around $6-$8k profit)

Downtown store -
Purchase 13 crates of each stock every day ($39k) You can make this trip in one go with the new cargo truck
Selling price of every product $115 with each item on a 9% discount
Generates around $59-$63k income in a day with ads running (so around $20-$24k profit)

On average I'm earning around $20-$28k profit a day with these two stores. I haven't bothered with the other store to be honest but if you run that store too then you could get another $10-$15k profit

What I've noticed is that having a higher price with discount sells more stock than having a low price with no discount

I have tried what you did with the downtown store and only getting below 5k profit. The only way I see it working is buying the stock every 2 days not everyday.

Drop the price down to $110 with 9% discount and see if that makes a difference, another thing which I always do is open the stores at 9:00, and after 13:00 I change the hours to 13:00-22:00.

I've started doing that as well to keep my store open the entire day.

Just to show it still works for me, sorry don't really know how to edit videos so just uploaded 2 parts without cutting anything out:
In part 1 I stock my stores at the beginning then just try to kill time
In part 2 I change store hours to 13:00-22:00 after my pizza shift, and around 10mins in is where its the end of the day and you can see the revenue.
$110 selling price in both stores - 8% discount in cutler store for each item and 9% discount in downtown store

P.S the drop in revenue on the graph is from not changing my store hours on one of the days, and the 0 revenue is because I closed the stores completely

Swapping the open times so it is open all day kinda makes sense with the profit margins that you are getting.
