JPN Opening and Ending Music not in this?
Anyone know why they changed the opening and ending music in the JPN soundtrack of the game to instrmental versions?

Something about not being able to acquire the rights to the vocals.

Even though I only got to play those versions on a crappy emulator with overscan, the cheesy engrish lyrics had their charm.

I was very disappointed when I heard the JP songs without lyrics. Turned out it was cause the apparent death of the original lyrics creator, Casey Rankin. I ain't sure if it was copyright laws or something, they just removed the lyrics cause Casey died. Funny thing is that I was looking about that a while before I posted this. But damn, Cosmic Eternity and You Can Do Anything just aren't the same without vocals. \:

Obviously the lyrics for the US soundtrack are still present, but if I'm not mistaken, "Pastiche" is listed nowhere in the credits – probably because they only included the credits for the JPN version. Sounds like the sort of thing someone might get upset about.

I thought it was something about copyrights cause You can do anything was supposed to be in Super Smash Bros Brawl.

I'd be really happy if I could play with the Japanese soundtrack, but the English opening and closing themes. That'd be a good compromise. Better than having no lyrics.

If you're talking about the Pastiche theme, you can enable it by select "Soundtrack" and select US.

With a bit of skill and knowledge, you can edit video files and replace those instrumental versions with originals songs.

I actually prefer the Japanese opening and credits music without any vocals. The singers/ rappers were awful to listen to and cringe worthy, both because they sucked at rapping and the engrish lyrics didn't make any sense.

Removing the vocals vastly improves the quality of these tracks, imo.

No the rapping was epic! It is blastfomy to edit them out? Plus how can they not have the rights anymore it's the same game?
