Controller support?

Is this game controller supported by default or must I break out good 'ol Joy2Key?

As far as I checked the game on Steam store, it never said it had any partial controller support but somehow when I played Jet Set Radio it seems that It allows you to play with any controller even though it didn't say anything about controller support.

Perhaps you should use Joy2Key if Sonic CD doesn't have any controller support I think it DOES have a hidden support just like in Jet Set Radio.

it plays really well with a xbox 360 wireless and wired controller this week my modded controller for sega should be here and will be testing it would prefer the sega controller just like the old days

Like every Windows game the only 100% compatibility is wih the xbox 360 controller

Most controllers will work with the game
but Xbox 360 controllers work best

Just got this the other day and my 360 controller doesn't work well at all. Trying to press in any direction with either the left stick or the d-pad (or even the arrow keys) doesn't work at all. I tried using my copy of Pinnacle Game Profiler and just using the default 360 profile and that let me press down, but pressing up doesn't work at all!

This is so frustrating. >:(
