Expansion/DLC/Unlock to play as Knuckles ?

Given that the Steam version allows us to play as Tails, why not add the ability to play as Knuckles, say after you beat the game AS Tails?

knuckles was AFTER sonic cd i think you mean. You only meet knuckles once you get to the flying island at the end of sonic 2 (IE the start of sonic 3) and sonic CD was before sonic 3

It wouldnt make sense anyway. I mean its pointless playing at tails really so whats the point in adding knuckles?

Considering the IOS rereleases allow you play knuckles and tails in Sonic 1, I cant see the harm in letting knuckles join the fun in CD.

The Sonic 1 IOS version was released after the Sonic CD Steam version, I think.

Knuckles was in Sonic 1 android and sonic 2 genesis and android that would be cool to play as knuckles when Tails races metal sonic imagine Tails vs Tails doll and Cream the rabbit in amys place that would be a good idea to add Knuckles in sonic CD

Frankly, I'd say why not add Amy Rose, instead? That'd make for an interesting twist.

Plus, it'd be about the one time we ever get to play as Classic Amy (not counting Sonic R (with her in a car); or Sonic the Fighters/Sonic Championship)

Plus, just picture her versus Metal Sonic on the Stardust Speeday. Perfect time for her to have her revenge.
(Just make sure to remove the NPC Amy, and her heart-filled affections and hugs...or it would get awkward real fast! (Would that technically make her a narcissist, then?))
