Sonic Cd Opening Song missing?
Im not sure if im the only one or if there is a fix for it. But each time i start the game up to the main logo screen the music is the japanese special stage though i have the U.S. soundtrack on.

tl;dr: Sonic Boom won't play at logo screen.

The title screen doesn't change I don't think.

Even if you have U.S or Japanese soundtrack (the later is vastly superior) Sonic Boom Wont play.this shocked me the first time.

It irritates me. I hate the JP soundtrack.

Alright, thanks for the feedback. Much appreciated.

I generally prefer the Japanese soundtrack for all but one song myself, and tend to feel the USA soundtrack takes itself way too seriously for when the game was made.

Still I have played with the USA soundtrack since it was included.

Hi and sorry for the necro guys.

But if someone is still interested, i've made a guide on how to unpack the data file containing the both OSTs, swap the us and jp titlescreen music files, and then repack it

Weird, the iOS and Android versions play their relevant region's music upon start-up, but this version doesn't.

On the mobile versions (iOS & Android), the US Sonic Boom title screen track does play when you first load up the game if you selected the US soundtrack the last time you played the game.

On the PS3, X360 and Steam version; the Japanese intro will always play on the title screen regardless of whether you have the JP or US soundtrack selected. Blit software ported Sonic CD to consoles in 2011, so it's their error that the US Boom track doesn't play on the title screen (if the US soundtrack is selected).

However, funny enough if you have the US soundtrack selected and get a game over (lose all your lives), then when the game returns to the title screen it DOES play the US Boom title screen track. Strange....

the programmer did something dumb the game does not look to the user save config file before you press start the android and phone versions look up all the save file data at boot time of the program. the defualt config file is set to the japanese soundtrack.

the xbox 360 and ps4 version are the same as the PC they do not do this,

when you push start on those version THEN the players save config file loads.

the phone versions loads these when the program starts so it plays your USA sound track that you said you wanted on the options it saves it to that config file.

if you want to bother sega or the programmer to fix this on twitter https://twitter.com/cfwhitehead have fun because they dont seem to care or want to support sonic cd or any other on anything but android and phone.

since it does not load your config at boot there is no way to view the title screen on those versions. with out something you should not have to do.
