"Savior of the Planet" Not Unlocking.

I just finished the game, and I didn't see this achievement unlock. I even went back and tried to kill the final boss again, but it didn't work. It was Metallic Madness 3 Good Future, and I got the Good Ending after I beat Robotnik. Is it just bugged?

No, I actually just unlocked him from beating the game now. It's my first time finishing it on this version (before my progress got wiped like 2 years ago lol)!

I replayed it again, here's a screenshot of the Good Ending screen. I think this proves I didn't mess up before, so IDK what's going on!! D:

Getting a good ending isn't the only condition, you need to destroy the the robot generators AND metal sonic holograms in all levels for the achievement.

For just the good ending you dont need to do the metal sonic holograms.
Also, it might be that achievements don't unlock if steam is in offline mode.

I did destroy both, besides in Metallic Madness when there was only robot generators. Maybe it was in offline mode then. Is there any way I can unlock it again without having to start over?

Sorry for the late aswer, You need to destroy all the robot generators and metal sonic holograms manually in all levels, for do it you must don't get all time stones or esmeralds becouse it auto destroys the robot generators and you need destroy them for yourself.
