Antipiracy Screen: Is It Real?
I recently decided to read the description for the Sonic CD game on Google Play (yes, I was really bored, I never actually did that before).
After reading a bit, I found that there was an anti-piracy screen before.
Does anyone know if it actually was? Maybe someone has even seen this screen? Share in the comments if you can, please, I'm very interested!

I don't know about any anti-piracy screen. but I am reminded of the secret, oddly creepy screen accessible via the sound test in the original game:

Maybe some people interpreted its creepiness as an anti-piracy measure?
Its just a run of the mill hidden developer message screen featuring a wallpaper of sonics drawn with a jarring caricatured face of one of the designers. The 'scariness' is blown out of proportion mainly because of the American boss music played over it and the developer's name signature vaguely transliterating to 'devil' which is used to substantiate rumours that it was implemented as an anti-piracy measure, which I don't believe has ever been remotely proven.
"Contrary to popular belief, and even SEGA's own description for the mobile release, this is not an anti-piracy screen in any version of the game. Despite its creepiness, Nishimura has stated it was not intended to frighten the player, with the creepiness being owed to the unsettling U.S. boss theme."
