Question about Saving Future.

So Im aware to save the future without the time stones you have to destroy eggmans machines... But what is confusing me is do you find them in the past present or future.

The robot teleporters and the Metal Sonic holograms are only found in the past (also after Stardust Speedway there are no Metal Sonic holograms).

So is there any point to going to the future besides to return to the present?

After getting all good futures you can go to them to see the visuals and the music with them.

To get a good future for the stage do you after to destroy all of eggmans machines in the past or will destroying just one suffice. also to get the good ending without the time stones do you have to destroy all the machines in all stages or just one?

You need to destroy all of them in every stage.

To get the good ending or just get the good future you have to destroy them all. Couldve sworn at one point i destroyed like one and it counted as a good future

To get a good future in a stage you have to go to the past and destroy the teleporter, to get the good future in act 3 you need to do that in the first 2 acts of each zone. You repeat this until beating the game to get the good ending.
