I'm sorry you feel that way.
When did I say I was offended? I’m just pointing out that it’s the “black woman” part, not the “realistic-looking middle aged” part that I think is the real reason.
Enjoying looking at beautiful women (or wanting to play games with them in it) is one thing, and I don’t think there is anything wrong with that. But refusing to buy/play every last game that doesn’t feature one prominently is something else entirely. And I don’t really care what “everyone else” did, that is a stupid reason to do or not to do anything. No one should buy a game if they don’t think they’ll enjoy it.
Ah yes, Stellar Blade, the game being championed by the anti-woke. I’m unsure about that one, I’m not sure that it will suck just yet, or that it will sell 10 million copies. We will have to have wait and see. I’m a big Nier Automata and Bayonetta fan, so I’m very likely picking it up if it’s not below 70 on metacritic. I just have doubts about if the developers can pull off a game on this scale. As far as I know, they’ve only ever done 2d mobile games like Goddess of Victory Nikke and unless they got support from one of PlayStation’s first party studios, I could see either the combat not holding up, the story being bad, or maybe just being very short for $69 game (and of course, all of the above are possible).
For what it’s worth, what you said was easy to follow and I think he’s just trying to be coy. You’re right about the point I was making. I was referring to something exactly like what happened at the capitol building, those people were so devoted to him and they honestly thought they were bringing about meaningful change and really they were just pawns who he and people like him couldn’t care less about. I’m not really sure what the endgame is with all of the culture war stuff, but I have to believe that there is one and someone, somewhere intends to directly benefit from the more extreme people on both the left and the right, whenever that day comes when it’s time to cash them out, so to speak.
Black people celebrate consuming media full of faces that look primarily like them, and the creation of this media for them is celebrated. Why is it wrong for me to like media with characters featured who look like me, that is designed for me?
Here, I'll throw you a fun curveball: I'm part black and have lived in majority black areas my entire life. Have fun with that since you want to allege racism at the drop of a hat. I possess that card, unlikely that you do.
I guess I will say the same again since you missed it the last time. There is a difference between liking media with X type of character, (white characters in this instance) and refusing to play games because there is one black character. I don't know if you noticed but this game is mostly white, main character is white, the one "with big arms" is white, the main villain is white, with lots of white NPCs. Even the non-white ones look mixed race, more than they look black. So it seems like the game actually needs to be completely and totally white, across the board, for you to be willing to play it. And that is very interesting for someone who is "part black".
The only thing I didn’t address is what you said about black people celebrating consuming content with lots of black characters/actors in it. It’s different (IMO) because when film and TV shows became a thing, they didn’t even have the option do so. After decades of fighting for equality and better representation, now they have that option in games/fims/TV. Finally, non-white people and women and LGBT can actually play games and watch films and see people who look like them.
Why is that such a bad thing that needs to be fought against? Can’t they just have a couple of characters out of a whole game, just 1-2 without everyone losing their minds and screaming “woke”? Maybe Gina Torres was just the best person for the role of Kirkan. Isn’t that as likely as a the idea that it was an intentional, morally bankrupt decision for the purposes of attracting ESG money (or any other theory that people like to claim)?
We are the world, we are the children
Showing your age, friend. Don't worry, I'm sure you have a lot to tell me about life though. "Stop the division" "Buy the corporate slop" "Like things which are not made to serve you"
Who said you should buy or like this game? I didn’t and neither FeliDOW. You’re free to not buy it, not like it, even hate it if you wish. You’re even free to spam this game’s discussion section with comments about all the “woke”. Just like I’m free to tell why I think your supposed reasons are silly and you’re free to say “conversation over, racist” when you can no longer defend that position. No one is being asked to do anything that they don’t want to do.
I believe it’s in reference to this song, not sure what the song is about. And I wouldn’t hazard a guess as to what they meant by referencing it.

You mistake "can" for "are willing to"
I don't have any position to defend. As a Black man, you can't tell me anything about my interaction with media with Black characters in it. Racist.
Hilarious-- first you told me I'm racist for not liking it, then you told me I'm not Black. There is zero impetus to go back and forth with klan types. I'm not sure why you think are are owed an argument. Probably because you're terminally online and typically interact with other people who respond in kind.
This is an indication to work on your behavior. Perhaps you need to do some self-reflection.
I love how you went from “part black” to “black man” considering you didn’t want to play Aveum because the “realistic looking middle aged black woman” didn’t “serve” you because the characters don’t look like you.
