Most modern games have that feel of a Marvel movie knock-off with a ton of virtue signalling. But, the gameplay looks fun as hell, so I'll keep my eye on it. So long as the game's finished on launch day and the developers aren't racist towards white people on Twitter [not holding my breath lol]

Asking about wokeness in a game is how you reveal yourself to be one of the most stupid creatures on the planet, whether a black person is "forcibly" inserted into the game or not.
Doesnt change if the gameplay and story is good or not. So you're so obsessed over your hatred of a black person being depicted, that y'll be willing to avoid a game of the year?

By the way, you have no insight whatsoever whether a character has been inserted because of "wokeness" or not, you have absolutely 0 insight into whether an actor was hired for their merit, or if they "just wanted a black guy".

Wokeness as you describe it, literally doesn't exist. You are misattributing a general trend in the entertainment industry, into some political nonsense.
Sometimes things are just bad, writers cant write strong women without them being a charicature. And sometimes people are just ACTUALLY sexist. People are whining about the muscular woman in this game. I personally think she looks awesome, and i'm looking forward to meeting the character.
Why is it a crime for there to be a buff character, when all oour movies have ridiculously buff men? Its so dumb. (hint: If you have a problem with strong women, you're a sexist, and you're many years late) Metal gear solid 3 literally had the boss beat the * out of snake at every turn, she was only defeated when she let you face her.

i like this comment because it speaks the truth if i were to attribute anything to being "too woke" as some would call it it would be either gender swapping or race swapping already well engrained characters in our society thats when it becomes virtue signalling, and in my opinion should never happen.

Right. But that too, doesnt really matter. Race swapping is not something anyone should care about. The only way a race swap can affect your enjoyment of a given medium, is if you care about race, which is so wierd to care about. I think it's fine if people would like to see a member of "their race" represented, but being mad because 10/10 characters where white, and 2 of them are replaced by an asian and an african, is actually pathetic. Should i feel more connected with an american, because he's white and i'm danish?
One of my favourite characters is Isaac from castlevania, and he's got dark skin, its a well written character, he could be replaced by a white character and it wouldnt make him worse or better.

And lets be real, the only people that are complaining as a majority are white dudes.
