4080 Performance...
Wow, another busted EA port *shocked pikachu*

Expected this after the abysmal Jedi Survivor... but this one has DLSS and Frame Gen!

Still getting <60 fps on my 4080 and 5800X3D. It can go has high as ~90, but the 99% fps is showing dips below 60 so I have awful stutters. Haven't even reached combat sequences yet so not a great sign!

Frame Gen makes it worse???

I've seen reports here from 4080/90 users saying no issues... any tips for me?

Edit: I'll add my GPU is ~60% and the CPU load easily reaches the 230 limit in the graphics settings so I cranked everything to Low and the performance is still garbage.

Edit 2: First mission is by far the worst. Get past it and into combat, it improves drastically. STILL BAD! but better

Put a mix of Ultra / High at 1440P then use quality or balanced dlss + frame gen

Are they using old DLSS .dlls?

Frame Gen is causing the HUD/UI to bug out really badly

Try 1440p put everything to HIGH and just put dlss to quality or Balanced.

If you are good with that then keep the settings, you can also go up from that point if needed and put a couple settings back to ultra. All trial and error.
It seems the very first mission/prologue just has the absolute worst performance.

Once pass that and into the world & combat, it runs pretty well. There are still stutters and drops... but its mostly above 60.

Game doesn't look good enough to have this poor performance tho imo :\

Shame, it really detracts from the experience. Game is mid.

Does updating the DLSS files help?

This is what we call a CPU BOTTLEKNECK

I mean, sure, a little, but not really the reason for poor performance.

It's the best CPU I could buy for the AM4 socket. 9/10 modern games run flawlessly. My GPU can still get to 99% usage.

This is what we call POOR OPTIMIZATION BY THE DEV TEAM

A 5800x3D may not be top of the line anymore, but it’s still damn good

Updating DLSS to 3.1.30 doesn't help. Not that the in-game version being 3.1.13 is outdated or anything.

Have you tried turning off Anisotropic Filtering? Read in another post that that thing can make the game very heavy on the CPU.

Yeah I've had it off the entire time unfortunately

I would force AF thru the NVCP. It’s bugged in game

Yeah just bad implementation of it - was fixed in games like Spider-man etc. They have said they are working on a fix but just shows the rush out again.
