[MOD] Play as Curly on other difficulties (curly mod, NOT curly story)
I was looking around on the internet for the curly mod to make you curly for the game, like the normal game, so that you can play on hard mode as curly. after looking around too much, I just modded the game myself to do the same.

Skins
I changed the skin of Quote to Curly, and Curly to Quote (only for "new" graphics)
Difficulties change the skins too like for normal quote
  • Easy mode : Changes the curly theme to be blue essentially.
  • Normal mode : Standard Curly Brace.
  • Hard mode : Natural looking red hair, purple clothes, human skin.
    If you woud just like to play as normal curly on hard mode then you can copy the first set of curly pictures and place them on top of the black haired curly, the third set at ~/base/MyChar.bmp
  • Changed Curly's Panties to Quote's Speedo.

Well done on this mod, I just wanted to ask about a couple of things. First, I noticed that the statues of curly and quote that you can look at during the hell segment have their names reversed. The other thing I'm wondering about is how you fixed the curse broken achievement. It didn't unlock for me when I tried using this mod, although I did just load from a previous save right before hell so that might be the problem? Either way it would be really good for the cave story community to know about the fix if you don't mind me sharing it on the forums at some point.

Yeah go ahead, and for the change I made I made it so that in the ending script it activates the achievement unlocking for the ID that is the curse broken one, It's been a while so I forgot which it is but I got it to work for my save game after playing around with the scripts a lot.

As for the statues, thanks for telling me I'll correct those as soon as possible.

They already have a curly story in the game dont they where you play as her.....

Yes but that is locked to easy difficulty. You also have to unlock that by playing the game a little bit.

I hate that you can't play as curly on a hard difficulty or do the challenges as curly.
As for the second part some people re install this game and feel like playing it again, but right away as curly. I know I did a few times.
