Screen Cut Off/Too Zoomed In?
Ever since I got Cave Story+, whenever I play the game, the top and bottom of the screen are cut off in fullscreen mode because everything is zoomed in or something. Even when I change to a different screen mode, it's still in fullscreen. Even though I prefer fullscreen, I still don't know why it's acting like this. I can barely see my health or read dialogue. Any help?

I am also having this problem. I am using a Microsoft Surface Pro 2. I hope someone comes up with something/fix.

solution here: http://www.cavestory.org/troubleshooting.php
(set comatility mode to 640x480 for C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Cave Story+\CaveStory+.exe and run from steam)

Just tried that and it didn't work. However, I DID try something else. Instead of changing the resolution, I checkmarked the box in Properties > Compatibility that said "Disable display scaling on high DPI settings" and now it works just fine! Can't believe that I'd find the answer myself ^o^ Hopefully it works for Ozymandias too!

Worked great for me with my Surface Pro 3. Thanks.

I'm on an Asus high resolution screen and having the same problem. Can you be more specific with how to navigate to the menu option "Disable dsplay scaling on high DPI settings." Specifically my resoultion is 3200 X 1800. I tried making sure it starts up in that resolution and now it's native one with no success.

I had the same problem. You just have to change your resolution before opening the game.

I put mine to 1024*768.

I got it thanks! had to check that box in Properties for the exe file - it's all good now.
I found properties. But I can't find a compatibility tab. Halp.

Weird. You sure you're checking the properties of the .exe file?

If by that, you mean just getting to the left of my Steam inventory, right clicking on Cave Story+, and selecting properties, then yes. Am I doing something wrong?

Yes you are, you're not supposed to right click Cave Story + in your Steam inventory, but in File Explorer. Chances are, your .exe file is in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Cave Story+
Oh. Well thank you Underhaze.
Crap. I right clicked on Cave Story+ and entered Properties, but the compatibility tab is still nowhere to be seen.

The .exe file, right? Not the folder?
