Here We Will Discuss Cave Story References. I'll Start, In Terraria You Get The "Robot Hat" (Which Looks Exactly Like Quote's) Only On "Surface" Chests. Also, If You Defeat Curly (D:) Then Talk To The Sleeping Mimiga He/She Says "Nyaa I Want Fish Nyaa" Supposedly Referring To Nyan Cat, The Meme Is Not Japenese (But, This Game Was Ported By A US Company So...) But The Song Is, Due To Being Create By Hatsune Miku From Vocaloid.

Is it referencing Nyan Cat or the fishing mimiga in the first town? I just know that 'nyaa' can be used for a yawning sound.

Yeah. I'm not sure if there really is a link with the Nyan Cat. In fact, I sort of doubt it. Didn't it come out after Cave Story+? I don't really remember....

But I have another reference. It's no "Huzzah!" but "Oh, yeah!" is the Kool Aid Man's catch phrase. It makes sense that Balrog would say it since he keeps smashing through walls much like the aforementioned jug o' juice.

And speaking of Balrog, I've always wondered if that name was inspired by Tolkien or Street Fighter II.
