Game too big for screen
My game is way too big for my screen. It only shows the center despite going from window to full. Any way to change this? My screen is 3200 x 1800

The best I could do was to shift+right click on the icon in the dock, then click maximize, which sets it to a small version of itself.

I have been having this problem ever since I got a new computer to the point where I estimate I'm only seeing about half the screen. I can't even see the lower two options on the menu in the title screen; it's that bad. However, I don't have a Compatibility tab in the Properties menu for this game, nor do the files I downloaded in any way contain anything labeled DoConfig, which are the two leading suggestions as to how to rectify this problem. I'm running Windows 10 and my laptop is a Dell XPS 13, if that is of any importance.

I did, but it requires having a compatability tab to display in the properties menu, and none appeared for me. Thank you anyway!

Same happens to me, both in a 8.1 tablet an in a Windows 10 PC. Neither Fullscreen adjustmente nor the stretch option work. As it is the game is unplayable. Super cheap bug. Got it in a sale, a rip-off nonetheless. Unacceptable. And mind that I really like the original Cave Story. A real gem.

Shift+Right Clicking on the icon in the tray and messing with size and move should make it playable, though you may have to fiddle with the game settings to make the game smaller. That should work.

Playing on a Windows 10 laptop, worked for me. Thanks. :vert:

It also worked for me, thanks. Still, a huge oversight from the developer. So easy to fix, it just shows that they don't care at all.

This method works best with "stretch" option. I think the root of the problem is that this game is designed for a square screen rather than widescreen. It automatically seeks to fill the entire screen, which means that the top and bottom are cut off.
