Does this game support the PS4 controller?

I just want to know if this game supports DirectInput and recognizes the PS4 controller.

And why even wishing a controller over mouse and keyboard?

Well it's a platformer, so don't you need that precise controlls. Don't get me wrong, MK isn't bad when it comes to platformers, but I still prefer a controller.

Original Question: Yes it should, you just have to enable it in the menu. If it doesn't you can just return it. According to the documents I read, you are free to try anything here.

New issue-- it happens pretty often, to me at least. Confusing what forums you're on, that is. To me it happens because the questions people ask on the forums are similar.

Counterstrike is usually referred to as cs, and so is cave story. I just confused :p

This game has worked with every controller I've thrown at it, DirectInput and Xinput. I don't have a regular PS4 controller, but it works with my Hori Fighting Commander 4 in both PS4 and PS3 mode. Controls are fully rebindable too. I wish every game did controller support as well as Cave Story. The only caveat is that you have to enable it in the options menu beforehand.
