The manipulations I provided were based on that, meaning I'm trying to copy the same manipulations (if the floor depict NO part but rotated to the left, I rotate the plate to the left too). I did it while watching some videos on Internet, and I was able to have good guesses, but like I said, I can't manage to do it on my game. I understand what I'm suppose to do but there is some pattern my brain can't process on my own game.
Can you tell me which one of 3 my manipulations are wrong?
Thanks.
Edited to add: I just got it for myself finally. It helped me to actually write the year and draw a small, recognizable piece of the maze on a piece of paper. The that tripping me up was the SW corner, upside down and flipped. I wrote 1963 above it and wrote what the upside-down mirrored numbers would look like (EdP1). Maybe that will help you with the orientation, too.
First, thanks for taking some time to help me even if you're not sure I'm still stuck. Actually, I'm still stuck. :D
I'm still on it (almost giving up the game because of my incapacity of doing it ^^).
You're right, my NW plate was not right. I said it was 1 rotation clockwise, but on that screen it's actually just flipped. I rotated it correctly this time:

I went in game to check, and sadly it didn't work anyway. There is still an error somewhere.
Here are the 2 other plates, I checked them to be sure they would be conform to the screenshots I posted:
SO, One rotation clockwise, no flip: https://i.ibb.co/x6WLsPk/20240720122205-1.jpg
NE, no rotation, flip: https://i.ibb.co/cCsQs79/20240720120233-1.jpg
I'm using a whiteboard to do these kind of puzzles. But on that one, I think it's my brain the issue. :D
I believe in you! This puzzle also really messed with my brain, so don't feel bad. It took me a while to get it, and writing the numbers and turning my paper is what helped me finally get through. Just trying to do it in my head was not working out well.
I checked your other two answers! The 2014 looks consistent with what I got, but the 1847 one was wrong. That one should just be flipped on a vertical axis, but since you can't do that in the game, you have to turn it and flip it. This one is harder to explain with a keyboard, but I will do my best! In lieu of a backwards 7, I'll use a "<" sign, backwards 4 will be an upper case A. So, it should look like <A81. With how it's oriented in the picture, you just need to rotate it twice to the left or right so it's right side up again.
Let me know if that works! I hope you get unstuck and are able to enjoy the game again soon! (Good news is that you won't have to do this kind of puzzle again!)
Aaw, you're too kind! Thanks! ^^
And thanks for your help, it did the trick! I'm sad to say I would have NEVER find the solution myself. My brain is crashing right now. XD How does it works is still a mystery for me.
The way I see it, flipping the plate is like having a mirror effect. But if I hold a pocket mirror, and if I flip the mirror the way I do in the game with the plate, the image reflected wouldn't be upside down. So it's not like a mirror but it is at the same time. My brain is melting. ^^
But whatever. I think I will never understand what was the logic behind that, but thank you so much for helping through it! I'll be finally able to keep going. I'm close to the end and I love the game, I would have been sad to give up so close to the end. ^^
Thanks again! : )
Instead of simply being able to flip them, you have to rotate the circle AND flip the square several times to get that result. I honestly couldn't even tell you right now how many turns and flips it would take. 🤣 That's why I had to write what the numbers should look like because that was the only way my brain could make sense and keep track of the orientation I was going for.
All that is to say, it makes a simple thing quite complicated, and I think that's why it tripped you up! If you've made it that far in the game, you're plenty smart and capable! 😊 I'm happy to help, and I'm glad you can finally keep progressing! It's a great game!
I guess it makes more sense, even if my brain has still a hard time to process it.
Thank you again for your help, you're a lifesavior.
Yeah, the game is great indeed. I like its weird atmosphere and cryptic story. It's like playing a puzzle game in a David Lynch movie. XD
No problem! I'm glad I was able to help you figure it out!
The atmosphere and story are the best! It definitely takes inspiration from David Lynch's works, which is immediately what drew me to the game. I think he would like it if he played it!
My three puzzles and the solutions that I've come up with are:
1847 -https://ibb.co/8rR6xkj
Map Region: Southwest
Transformation: Rotate right, rotate right, flip on vertical axis
This one seems like Southwest, but flipped on horizontal. I believe my transformation gets to that goal.
1963 -https://ibb.co/61mvMvb
Map Region: Northeast
Transformation: Rotate right
I might be missing something, but man it does seem that simple?
2014 - https://ibb.co/Zd86jmZ
Map Region: Northwest
Transformation: Rotate left
Again, I might be missing something but it seems so simple
I currently have 1847 rotated counter-clockwise, 1963 inverted (no rotation), and 2014 upside down and inverted.

I am wondering whether you'd be able to help me as well? I also hate the mausoleum! Spatial stuff is really hard for me.
I've taken screenshots and I'm having the same problem. I know something is wrong - I even tried drawing the maze patterns out but I just can't make the connection on my own as to what the answer is:
https://imgur.com/5x0atLk
https://imgur.com/iKBKzBA
https://imgur.com/yp5YXwf
I literally have completed everything else - this is the only part that I'm stuck on and I can't finish the game without this!
I think I've got the pieces of the maze identified correctly...but again, not sure.
1. Rotated bottom right once counterclockwise (so 1847 should be with the 1 at the bottom and 7 at the top, no flip)
2. Rotated top left once clockwise (so 1963 should be where the 1 is at the top and 3 at the bottom, no flip)
3. Flipped bottom left on vertical axis with no rotations (so 2014 should be backwards where it looks kinda like A105 (aka you had this one right)
Let me know if those work, and, if not, I will try again once I am functioning better than a cup of mashed potatoes.
For anyone else struggling, I highly recommend trying the method that I detailed in my original comments about how to solve it using a piece of paper and a picture of the full maze. I haven't thought about this particular puzzle in half a year, but I remembered what I did to solve it and that's how I worked out the answers I got this time, too.
1. Flipped bottom left on vertical axis, no rotation (so 1847 should look like "<A8I")
2. Rotated top right once counterclockwise (so 1963 should be where the one is at the bottom and 3 is at the top)
3. Rotated top left once clockwise (so 2014 should be where the 2 is at the top and the 4 is at the bottom)
1. Rotated bottom left counterclockwise once (so 1847 should be where the 1 is at the bottom and 7 is at the top)
2. Flipped top right on vertical axis, no rotation (so 1963 should look like EdPI)
3. Rotated top left counterclockwise twice (so 2014 should look like h10Z)
