ive been on it for like 30 min im too dumb to get it i guess pls help

I was stuck on this for a while so I'll help you out.

If you don't want me to solve it but you want a hint: Write down Last Year and Laser, what would you subtract from Last Year to turn it into Laser?

The first line is translating it into English, So you have Last Year.

The second line is harder because of the numbers instead of letters but it's Thousand Years Ago: TYA.

So you'd be subtracting the t, y, and a from Last Year and that would leave you with Laser. Infuriatingly simple right?

Now that you know, the second lock is very easy to figure out.

oh thank you so much yeah lol i got the second almost instantly and for the first one i was so close i had like tea instead of tya and like i was trying every 3 letters word, was trying some of like the first letter of 3 word but idk why I didnt try this one cause I though it made no sense but tried everything else lol.
