Just finished the game and wanted to share my theory

Thank you so much to Simogo for this wonderful masterpiece. It was such a powerful and emotional journey…

My theory is that Renzo was a mentally unstable artist who suffered from bipolar disorder, as stated in the police report. He aimed to create the ultimate art piece, something so deep that it would be beyond comprehension. To achieve this, he manipulated Lorelei into orchestrating his own death, thus traumatizing her. The concept was for Lorelei to undergo the trauma and perceive it as the ultimate artistic masterpiece - the game we're playing. The Third Eye symbolizes art, while the Beast represents the destructive power of art. Lorelei ends up being the sole witness to Renzo’s last masterpiece, living through the tragedy of one artist killing another, mixing two perspectives through a tragic lens. Although Lorelei suffers from it, Renzo succeeds in his objective, echoing his manifesto that true art doesn't require an audience. To summarize, I see this story as a tragedy, depicting a psychopath who psychologically destroys another artist to achieve true art. Lorelei continues to view the world through this lens until her old age.

Just wanted to add on top of what you said, If we read a biography of Lorelei there's a hint, that her aunt was also difficult to comprehend when she was getting older and in medical records of old Lorelei it is stated she suffers from a medical condition, and to get the MEMORIES out of her you have to tell her names and places that she knew. And this all seems like she has dementia or Alzheimer's, meaning, that when she tries to remember everything after that traumatic event her memories are like a maze, easy to get lost in, and fragile like a mirror, that shatters (shattered mirror in her room + maze shatteres when you take the slabs). And when she was still young, she was trying to sublimate her feelings and memories into game prototypes with forest, library, hallways. I can't quote exactly, but one the characters (correct me, but it was Renzo with a gun in a library I think) even says something like, I shouldn't be here, hinting, that her memories are messed up.

But Renzo is indeed an eccentric psycho artist, who wanted to push the boundaries. And when he destroyed her computer program because capitalism will destroy it anyway I gagged.

I will correct myself, Renzo is 100% the creator of Third eye story, because video tape boxes with his movies we've found have The Third eye one with no info on it, so he was eager to shoot the movie, he was very prepared for this: costumes for main characters, audition tapes, fake windows etc. But I suppose he wanted the actor to actually die and they refused to star in this movie leading to Renzo realising that the only way to make the script into an art piece is to kill himself, because noone would agree to do it. And he remade the script with gender swapped characters in a different modern setting.
