This game is really bad.

Space Theory is an asset flip, what Valve calls a "fake game". The "developer", Garage Games/Interactive Pixel Entmt., took a template from GameMaker Studio, slapped a couple of asset flipped sprites on it, and dumped the results onto Steam as a cash grab scam.

Garage Games/Interactive Pixel Entmt. have shown a repeat pattern of unethically dumping other people's work onto Steam as a cheap, nasty cash grab, through this account or through closely linked/alt accounts. Here's some examples so you can see for yourself:

The products that result from asset flips aren't "real" games. They lack depth and content, because they're just simplistic copies of demos or tutorials. In this case, "Space Theory" is just a very badly made GameMaker Studio ripoff of SpaceWar (the oscilliscope game from 1962), and doesn't have any merit as a proper, fully fledged PC game, so a copy+paste of it can't be recommended.

Asset flips don't involve any professional game development. Sure, sometimes they may change a few cosmetic things, swap out different assets etc, but at heart it's functionally identical to the asset they're ripping off. Asset flips are an insult to both PC gamers and to professional game developers who create genuine, high quality PC games. Asset flips like this are harmful to the gaming industry and to Steam because they reduce the visibility that sincerely made indie games should have. They make it harder for gamers to find genuine games made by honest developers.

To cement the position of this asset flip as nothing but a cash grab, it was dumped onto cheap DailyIndieGame shovelware bundles very shortly after launch. Don't reward this morally bankrupt, unethical behaviour from Garage Games/Interactive Pixel Entmt.

First of all, I want to say that this game is just like another quick cash-grab and it just uses a Gamemaker Studio 2 template, with a few redrawn textures and a garbage menu. I do NOT recommend this game at all, it is full of garbage and is 1000% NOT WORTH 6 dollars. This should be free, not 6 dollars.

This "team" has published tens and tens of "games" (they are templates and quick games anyways) on Steam with 0 quality. It is terrible, that's what you need to know.

The gameplay? Bad. It is repetitive, the music is absolutely terrible, I do not know who smashed their piano to make music so terrible it's simply earrape. Disable it in settings, please.

The menu looks like ass. That's what you need to know.

I have a bit of faith in this team, however. I still think that they can achieve a decent game that's not a template. I would really like to see more from them, something that's not ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

Overall, this game is a straight-up 1/10.
