Constant Access Violations?

I seem to be pretty consistently getting access violations. Something like one big spat of them every couple of tactical battles. The battle will run fine for a while, then it will start having occasional access violations, the access violations will increase until they're happening almost every time I advance time, then they'll usually stop after a bit. Tonight they just kept happening until they were happening any time I tried to advance time and I was unable to exit the battle. Unable to do anything else I saved (yes, a terrible idea), and now on attempted load I get another access violation (Error in LoadScenarioInProgress, address 006AF426, module RTW3.exe, read of address 00000068.

Wondering if I need to abandon this entire line of saves (I have a backup, but this issue has been happening for a while on this save), or if I should try updating to the beta. I'd also like to know if there is any way to avoid this in the future.

I had something similar with a german campaign. The save file eventually corrupted to the point where it would not open and load. No, I don't have the save anymore.

Not exactly sure what you mean with this. Are you on the latest public beta branch, v1.00.35 or are you on the latest official branch of the game v1.00.27?

That's the Steam Build ID for the version I am using. I am not on the beta branch.

If you haven't already, we suggest trying the latest public beta branch to see if that resolves your issue as it includes a slew of improvements and fixes. Let us know if you're still seeing your issue on the public beta branch.

I have the same issue, but it seems to be isolated to fleet exercises for me, not actual battles.

This was my experience. I put most of the fleet into a large exercise and webt to shower came back to access violations, tried to save out of it abd it corrupted.

Understood. We recently released a public beta v1.00.37. Have you tried this version yet? Are you able to reproduce your issue on this version?

Many windows did not appear because I got an error in the save
