More games like this?

I vaguely remember as a young teenager back in the late 90's early 00's playing a lot of Visual Basic looking games like this, with minimal art, functional UI, and a level of depth unmatched anywhere else. Seeing this game pop up on the steam store and looking at the screen shots was some real 'core memory unlocked' ♥♥♥♥ for me and awoke a hunger for that mechanical depth that has been dormant for some time.


I was wondering if anyone here knew of more games of this sort, preferably RPGs or Sci-Fi, but I'm not particularly picky as long as the game is good.
