How to build aircraft ?

Can somebody tell me how to build aircraft ?
I've a design for Naval patrol aircraft, I've build airbases and I've created groups t be stationed on those bases. But I don't find from which screen I build the actual aircraft and neither do the air groups seem to fill automatically.

What am I missing ?

You don't have any involvement in the building of aircraft. They just happen once the aircraft type exists, and the air groups do fill automatically.


It's possible you've missed that your type is selected but still not quite ready for service? There's a few turns delay there before a new design starts producing usable aircraft.
