how to summon demon?

i unlocked the feature, selected the imp. I see it talks about stasis but i dont know what that is. Are summons just passives?

I was unsure at first too. You can select a demon to use on level up and it'll spawn a shrine with that demon's buff.

Okay, so first you have to equip them before you start a run, then you use them instead of picking a new ability when you level up. it seems there is a very limited number of summons per run too, so don't use them right away.

Worth noting is that you can level them up by spending flowers but also by using them in a run.

Specifically, each demon can only be summoned once (unless some stuff unlocks later I haven't seen). You summon them when you level up, by picking that option on the right side of the screen instead of another level up option (though you can use Overlevels to double-dip). Once you summon the demon it creates a shrine with a time limit instead of a kill limit, and you get the demon's bonuses while fighting inside that shrine.

EDIT - Erroneously stated you couldn't re-summon the same demon, but looks like you get one summon per "slot" you've unlocked and can use them all on the same demon if you want (though that means you aren't leveling the unused ones during that run).

can you please post screenshots, not sure if i even equpped the demon right.

Can't seem to equip them at all, nothing to drag or double click to get it over to the equip section. Probably a bug I'm assuming but rather annoying

For me it's the opposite problem, single click is both adding and removing with zero confirmation.
