There is no such thing as "best class". It is all about your own play-style. I played all of the classes for a bit and each are interesting and complex in their own way.

I just finished with an embermage..... sooo sad now... after i get over my sadness of being done ill probably try a different one. But i did enjoy my embermage.
Engie seems best all-around tbh. They're all viable but engie just has it all.

nothing beats Berserker in terms of pure fun, but Outlander and Embermage make you think while playing, and Engineer makes you think each time you spend a skill point...
no such thing as "best class", nor should there be one.
this game rocks!

From the looks of it, by best, you mean easiest. Just like in WOW, it was the Hunter. Just like in Diablo 3 it was the Demon Hunter. In TL2 it's the Outlander. And just like all of them, I'll have angry Outlander player now replying and saying how much skill it takes, etc etc etc. But let's be real, ranged DPS always have the best survivability.

I love my Engineer. Slow swinging that heavy wrench around, summoning robotic minions everywhere. Makes me think I'm playing Bioshock in a medieval fantasy universe!

In other words, able to deal the most damage while avoiding the most damage. In which case, you forgot several examples of games that date farther back. Sorcerer from D1. Sorceress from D2 and Paladin with enigma from D2.

The point I am getting at is it isn't always the bow user, and I don't think Outlander is going to take the title. From the few skills that I have tried so far, Embermage has some ridiculous damage potential. I will have to play both classes more, but so far the Outlander doesn't even come close.

speaking of Diablo 1, Sorceror started weakest, but then got Mana Shield + Apocalypse + enough mana to cast both, and became unstoppable even at Hell difficulty.
but you did need to know what you're doing to get to that point, because any monster who got close would own you. he was far from easy or noob-friendly, but the hardest was Rogue. you had to be suicidal to select that fragile, ridiculously-low-damage chick. she was completely worthless until you found a bow with knockback and high attack speed.

I have a Beserker as my main and it is quite fun TBH. !

Engineer with any build (melee, shield, cannon) is a lot of fun, and hard to kill with minor investment in defensive cooldowns.

I''ve been running cannons and robots on hardcore veteran and I'm getting farther everytime I die!

You would think so but I find engi to be a bit easier then Outlander, I rolled an Outlander as my second chara and against individual targets outlander is fine, but when you get in those monster pile ups you pretty much have to tuck tail and run, switch to a CC weapon like the shotgun and pray nothings loops behind you or comes from the side.

In boss fights its real pain in the ass with any adds the boss has, unlike in other games like WoW the pet in this game is not much of a tank for an outlander. I'm still working on diffrent builds for the outlander class so its only a matter of time to find a build I like.

But so for easiest for me has been engie with the heal bot and all the other nice toys in that spec.

I agrre that now after levelling a bit Outlander is pretty damn good, but starting out i was literally dying every five minutes, with low vitality and weilding pistols, it's definitley not the easiest class.
